Clearer thinking through writing.

Discover the thoughts you didn’t know were there.

A Structured Journaling Method for Inner Clarity.

Grounded in the relationship between writing and thinking.

I’m Lori Rosove, creator of the Trees & Breathe journaling method. This method is rooted in effective linguistic devices and psychological tools and an academic background in Applied Language Studies, 30 years of social work practice and a decade of teaching writing. There’s a good chance you’re familiar with journaling, and may have even tried it. I developed this structured writing process to help people uncover thoughts they may not have known were there. As those thoughts surface, it becomes easier to understand what’s keeping them stuck and find a way forward.

The Trees & Breathe Guided Journaling Method

A calm, structured writing process designed to gain insight and clarity.

The Journaling Method

Writing Strategies

I use writing strategies grounded in Psychological Science and Linguistic Tools to promote mental clarity. Some of these strategies include expressive writing and freewriting. Often considered medicine for the mind and body, writing can:

  • enhance emotional stability

  • reduce stress levels

  • improve the immune system

  • elevate problem-solving

  • increase clarity

Mindfulness Techniques

I integrate mindfulness techniques with writing strategies to help create a calm and safe writing space for you. The benefits of paying attention to your sensations, feelings, and thoughts in the here and now may include:

  • lowering stress

  • Improving memory

  • strengthening relationships

  • increasing calm

  • increased focus

Nature Prompts

I bring nature to your writing space for a sense of peace and perspective. Scientific research supports that visual contact with nature may improve people’s well-being. And bird song may have a positive impact on mental health. Benefits may include:

  • reduced stress

  • improved mood

  • enhanced calm

  • opened mind

  • lowered blood pressure

Writing Reveals What Thinking Alone Cannot.‍ ‍Most people are carrying more thoughts than they realize. When those thoughts are given structure through writing, clarity begins to emerge - often in unexpected ways.

My journaling method is rooted in structured writing strategies, supported by nature and mindfulness. Together this process helps you:

  • reveal thoughts you didn’t know you were holding.

  • create space for clarity to surface.

  • reduce mental clutter to support clearer decisions.

I want to share it with you as a powerful path to clarity.

No experience required.

I believe change happens only when you do something different.

Whether we write together in a group or 1-to-1, the Trees & Breathe method of guided journaling moves you forward with a deeper sense of self-understanding.

A young woman with long brown hair and glasses is sitting at a wooden table, writing in a notebook with a blue pen. She is wearing a white t-shirt and appears focused. A laptop computer is open in front of her. The background shows a bookshelf and a dark-colored decor in a cozy indoor setting.
A young woman with long dark hair and a black headband is lying on a table, resting her head on her arm, and writing on a notebook with a black pen. There is a laptop on the table next to her.

How it Works:

  1. Show up: Bring a pen, writing book, and an open mind.

  2. Follow the prompts: I provide the structure and the effective prompts.

  3. Enjoy the comforting space.

  4. Share if you choose.

  5. Find clarity: Walk away with a clearer head

  6. Repeat!
