As a registered social worker and writing educator for 30 years, I know the common stuck experience well.

As a social worker, I specialized in adoption, offering therapeutic services for clients who were experiencing a stuck time in their lives. As a post-secondary instructor, I focused on the practical role of writing, whether in ESL, technical, or professional writing. My students commonly felt stuck as they were pursuing their goals.

In both fields, I guided clients and students with writing to think clearer and move forward past their stuck feelings. And in both fields, it was useful.

Whether you are dealing with a challenging life situation or managing a full load, feeling stuck often leads to looping thoughts that seem like mind clutter. You feel like you can’t think clearly, resulting in frustration and stress. This gets in the way of what you really need or want to do.

In 2020, I launched trees&breathe: writing workshops to help you get unstuck!  Whatever situation you are in, you can reduce your stress.
