Sometimes, we can’t see the forest for the trees. We get lost in the details, stuck in our thinking, and lose sight of the bigger picture.
A Forest for the Trees session is a private, structured writing space that helps you sort through what feels stuck, unclear, or mentally heavy and better understand what matters most.
These 1-to-1 sessions can help you when you are feeling:
mentally cluttered or overwhelmed
stuck in overthinking
emotionally tangled or weighed down
unclear what to do next
ready to work through a specific block
The process is simple.

With just a bit of information from you, I will design a writing session shaped around what you’re carrying and what you most need clarity on.
Each 1-to-1 session is 50 minutes and includes the following:
A calm and supportive environment
Grounding mindfulness techniques
Structured writing prompts
Time to write, reflect, and notice what emerges
Gentle guidance to help you make sense of what’s surfacing
A short debrief to help you integrate what you’ve discovered
Session recording (optional)
$90 CAD for a 50-minute 1-to-1 guided journaling session.

A note about privacy
These sessions are private, supportive, and centered on your experience. You are never required to share your writing aloud. The focus is not on writing skill or performance, but on using writing as a tool for insight, clarity, and emotional understanding.

You can book one session at a time and repeat as much as you would like. Each session will focus on what you most need clarity on.

Yes! My structured writing method is grounded in a compilation of psychological and linguistic theoretical frameworks. Examples include solution focused, strengths based, semantic distancing, narrative structure. Trained in Applied Language Studies provided the necessary tools to gently weave these tools into every session to help you move forward.

You can pay by credit card or e-transfer. To complete your booking for a session, you will be prompted to pay by credit card or Paypal. Please send me an email if you prefer to pay by e-transfer.

As long as you give 48 hours’ notice, you can get a refund or reschedule your session.

All aspects of your involvement with Trees & Breathe will be held in utmost confidence. Your personally identifiable information is not discussed or disclosed, directly or indirectly, without your prior consent.
There are a few situations in which I am legally obliged to break confidentiality in order to protect your safety or another individual's. These include:
• Risk of harm to self or another person
• Suspected child abuse or neglect for a minor under the age of 16
• A legal subpoena of records regarding an incident (if possible, I will contact you before releasing any information).
