‘Can’t see the forest for the trees’ reminds us how easy it is to become stressed when we lose sight of the bigger picture and get lost in the details of our lives.

A 1-to-1 guided journaling session is perfect for getting back on track. You’ll savour this important 'me' time as you calmly reveal the root of what’s keeping you stuck so you can move forward.

This is exactly why I designed Forest for the Trees. I respect your desire to take control of your life and honour your right to do that privately.

With just a bit of information from you, I will design a journaling session to put you on a path to enhanced clarity and well-being.

Each 1-to-1 journaling session is 50 minutes and includes the following:

  • A private and supportive environment

  • Calming mindfulness exercises

  • 40 minutes guided journaling session

  • 10 minutes of sharing (optional)

  • Session recording (optional)

FAQs 1-to-1 Sessions

  • You can book one session at a time and repeat as much as you would like.

  • You can pay by credit card or e-transfer. To complete your booking for a session, you will be prompted to pay by credit card or Paypal. Please send me an email if you prefer to pay by e-transfer.

  • As long as you give 48 hours’ notice, you can get a refund or reschedule your session.

  • All aspects of your involvement with Trees & Breathe will be held in utmost confidence in accordance with the ethical guidelines and standards of practice set out by the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. Your personally identifiable information is not discussed or disclosed, directly or indirectly, without your prior consent.

    There are a few situations in which I am legally obliged to break confidentiality in order to protect your safety or another individual's. These include:

    • Risk of harm to self or another person

    • Suspected child abuse or neglect for a minor under the age of 16

    • A legal subpoena of records regarding an incident (if possible, I will contact you before releasing any information).

  • As per the Trees & Breathe disclaimer (found in the website footer), all guided journaling sessions are designed for self-care purposes and are not a substitute for professional medical or psychological advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Individual experiences and results may vary. Participants are encouraged to seek professional advice for any health-related issues and to take personal responsibility for their well-being during and after the sessions.

  • This is completely your choice!

  • I include an option for “sharing” time after each session for you to ask questions and share the impact of the session. However, that’s entirely up to you.

  • At your request, I will record the session and send it to you after the session.

  • Absolutely! Instead of meeting, I can send you a recorded session designed just for you. Your choice!
